Jarvis

This fella was a lot of work he is completely hand stitched, and took me a lot longer than expected. I made him from wool felt which I never worked with before. I think he came out really cute. I will be using this method again but on a smaller scale, I like the retro, vintage style look of it.

Working on many new projects :)

I am working on many new projects this week, a really cute wool felt wiener dog with a black top hat (Japanese kawaii from Japanese craft book Tabatha Naomi). I pretty retro apron with red and white polka dotted fabric. More guinea pigs out of corduroy, fun to make. Also really cute. And a new tote bag made from a retro style owl printed corduroy. I am all over the place this week.
I have been also asked to participate in a craft fair labor day weekend, which I have decided to do. So that puts a lot of work on my plate for the next month.
Hopefully wiener pup will be done tonight and posted tomorrow. So I am busy, but it is a good busy. :)

Birthday present

I made this quilted purse for my moms birthday. I hope to make many more it was really fun, finding the color combinations, putting them together, much like a puzzle. I love the browns and blues together, and the cute bird fabric.

Tomorrow I will be posting my very kawaii (cute) huggy bears. Also very fun to make I used the softest fabrics I could find, extremely huggable.

Guinea pigs These little guys were made from a "bit of whimsy" pattern, I found in soft dolls magazine, may 2009. They are really fun and easy to make. I gave the one on the right to Julia's (my 2 yr old) dance teacher.
