Some of my favorite craft books

I would like to share some of my favorite craft books. I have a few nuigurumi Japanese craft books, which I love they have a retro style, they are beautiful. There are a lot of plush cuties waiting to be born. The book with little girl on cover is filled with Alice in Wonderland themed projects and little girls clothes, super cute.

The next bunch of books were originally published in Japanese then translated English.

More owls

I made more kawaii baby snow owls, there seemed to be a lot of interest in them, and besides that they are fun to make. Especially their little hats. The top hats are the cutest.
I started by making their hats before I even made the owls. I enjoyed working in miniature.
The hats took a while to make, I looked at a couple of Japanese craft books for reference, then invented my own take on them. They are made of felt, and cotton cloth.
Here are a couple of the finished owlets.

My first etsy sale...Yahoo!

I am so excited I made my first sale on etsy, funny thing is I just posted the item last night.

I did not even get to post her here yet.
Well here she is my kawaii sleepy snow owlet. She is made from a super soft fleece, her features are all hand embroidered, and her bow is made of red felt and also hand embroidered with the blanket stitch. The idea for her came to me while I was trying to sleep. there are just so many owls out there right now I wanted a different look. So I hope I achieved that.
She was really fun to make and I will be making more.

Panda

This little kawaii Japanese Panda was made by me for my little sister, she said she wanted it to be "more happy". So I made sure that I gave him more of a smile. And she did not like the way I wanted to make the feet, so I made them different, tough customer. His basic pattern was from a Japanese craft book. I just realized it's not the same when its not completely my creation but It was still fun. And he still came out pretty cute, just a little too jolly. :)

Lamb, rag doll or retro apron??

Here is my first white plushie huggy bear. Hope she is kawaii enough. I used a white cotton fleece, he is pretty big. I like his pink cheeks.

The pink plushie bear just needs to be photographed.
I like them, they both look a little irked, hey its tough being cute. I love the balance of anger vs adorable. Like my daughter when she is having a terrible 2 fit.

Finally finished my vintage style plushie bunny, she gave me a really hard time, but I do like the way she came out. I am gonna take a little vintage break and maybe try some straight up, kawaii teddy bears. Maybe with my white fleece fabric and plushie pink fabric we will see. I hope I can pop a couple out tonight. Thats what I thought about my vintage plushies, but they were much more involved than I thought. Thank you to the new people who joined my blog.
